VeUP Privacy Policy

INTRODUCTION

VeUP Ltd (‘VeUP”, “the Company”, “us”, “we”, “our”), including its subsidiaries and affiliates, is dedicated to protecting the privacy of individuals who use our Services. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you engage with us.

We encourage you to read these terms and this Policy carefully before engaging with us and utilising our Services. This Policy applies to all areas of VeUP’s interactions with customers, prospective customers, previous customers or third-parties. It does not apply to our employees, who are covered under our Employee Privacy Policy.  

VeUP offers a range of technology solutions for businesses, including consulting services on system design, technical expertise, go-to-market, and business operations excellence. Additionally, we provide setup and management services for cloud solutions such as AWS. We also operate the website www.veup.com (“Website”).  

All Products and Services mentioned herein, along with the website, are collectively referred to as “Services”.

DATA COLLECTION AND USE

WHAT DATA WE COLLECT

We collect two types of data from you: Personal Data and Non-Personal Data. Personal data is anything that could potentially identify you, such as your email address or name. Non-Personal Data is that which does not relate to an identified or identifiable individual, such as aggregated usage statistics or technical information transmitted by a device. Data relating to a company is also not Personal Data.

ABOUT YOU

Personal data such as your name and contact details may be collected throughout our interaction with you. This includes prior to, during, and after providing you with our Services.

Depending on your role within the Company, we may also collect your address and other personal data that we need to conduct the necessary checks for us to meet our regulatory and legal obligations.

If you use VeUP Talent Services, we may also collect data concerning your employment history and associated reference information.

ABOUT YOUR COMPANY

To provide you with our Services, we will collect information about your company. This is not Personal Data under the data protection regulations, but we will adhere to data protection principles and this data will be handled using appropriate systems and controls.

USAGE INFORMATION

We collect information about how you interact with our Services. This includes data such as device type, operating system, browser details, IP address for location estimation, referral sources, session duration, page views, interaction events, and timestamps, which relate to your activity through our Services.

HOW WE COLLECT YOUR DATA

You directly provide us with most of the data we collect about you and your company. We collect and process data when you:

Contract with us and complete customer onboarding processes (for example providing us with details of your AWS Account to use our Re:Sell service).

Contact us by completing a form on our website, via email or in-person at an event.

Voluntarily complete a customer survey, interact with us on social media channels (such as LinkedIn), or provide feedback to us by whatever medium.

Use or view our website, via cookies collected using your browser.

We may also obtain information about you and your company from the following sources:

From partners and third parties who we work with to provide our Services to you.

From credit bureaus or fraud prevention agencies.

From other companies who we work with as our customers and who may refer you to us and recommend you use our Services.

From industry partners, such as conference or event providers.

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

We will use your data to provide our Services to you. This includes:

Identifying additional services, we can offer or support we may be able to provide and discussing these with you.

LAWFUL BASIS FOR DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING

In most cases, we will collect and process your data in the entering into of a contract with you and performing our obligations under it.

In the case of using your data to conduct analytics and for business and customer insights, we process this on a legitimate interest basis as this data allows us to provide better services to our customers.

Legal or regulatory requirements within the jurisdictions in which we operate may also require us to process data. In these cases, the lawful basis for our processing of your data will be compliance with a legal obligation.

In conducting our marketing activity, we also rely on consent. You as an individual can object to our use of your personal data for marketing purposes. Your company can also object to receiving marketing from us. You can exercise these rights by contact us at privacy@veup.com.

SHARING YOUR DATA

In providing you with our Services we may share your data with third parties. Data will always be shared with, and processed by, third parties under strict data protection arrangements. Depending on the Services we provide you, data may be shared with:

Partners we use to help us deliver your Services whether directly or as part of internal processes, such as banking or technology partners.

Providers whose Services we offer you through a re-seller arrangement.

Other companies within the VeUP group, or companies associated with VeUP.

Authorities or institutions we are obliged to share data with under legal or regulatory requirements within the jurisdictions in which we operate.

As part of this data sharing, your information may be stored and processed in various locations worldwide. Where our processing of your data involves international data transfer, we will ensure that data protection provisions are in place that are at least equivalent to those offered by VeUP directly.

USE OF TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We use tracking technologies (“cookies”) to collect information about your device and online behaviour. This helps us to enhance your navigation of our Website, improve performance, perform analytics, and provide personalised experiences and advertising about our Services.

Objection and Restriction to Processing – a right for an individual to object to their Personal Data being processed in certain ways, for example for marketing, unless another legal basis applies to the processing, such as performance of the contract.

Data Portability – a right for individuals to request that the Personal Data we hold about them is shared with them in a form that allows them to reuse it.

Data Rectification – a right for individuals to request inaccuracies in the data held about them to be corrected or otherwise rectified.

Data Erasure – a right for individuals to request the erasure of the data held by companies about them, unless the company has a justifiable, including legal, reason not to remove it.

Please be aware that these rights apply to Personal Data about individuals only – information about a company does not fall under this categorisation.

RETAINING YOUR DATA

Personal data or sensitive business data will not be stored for longer than is necessary for the performance of the contract or until the lawful basis on which it is retained no longer applies. Anonymised, pseudonymised or non-personal data may be retained for a longer period.

UPDATES TO THIS POLICY

We reserve the right to update this Policy at any time. The most recent version will always be available on our Website. Continued use of our Services after updates signifies acceptance of the revised Policy.
